Site Updates

To my post “Self-Adjoint Operators: Monotone Convergence Theorem, Existence of Square Roots,” I’ve added two corollaries related to convergence of conditional expectations with respect to a filtration (\mathcal{F}_{n})_{n=1}^{\infty} of a probability space (\Omega,\mathcal{F},\mathbb{P}).

I’ve uploaded two new PDFs to the Expository Writings, Notes, etc. section of the site. The first consists of notes on a basic tool in measure theory known as Dynkin systems, including the well-known and very useful Dynkin \pi\lambda lemma. The second consists of some notes on Hilbert-Schmidt operators, in particular the L^{2} theory.

Lastly, as some of you may have seen, I’ve added a link under the textbook solutions page for individuals to make contributions to Math by Matt via Paypal. If you consider a Math by Matt a useful resource in your mathematics education, please consider making a contribution to the site so that it may continue to be use of to you and others.
